The other day on our way to Vienna to see Matt's folks we passed this slightly modified truck 4 x 4, it looked a little higher than normal from a distance, but up close it was massivly high, so I took this snap. The wheel arch is actually higher than the roof of Matt's car and about head height if we'd been standing. The tires and wheels themselves are pretty big, far bigger than needed and look a little ermm odd if you ask me, but hey, be a boring world if we all liked the same things.
There are a lot of trucks, pick up trucks over here, they seem to be everywhere and n
ot just for farmers, some are pretty jacked up so they are much higher than normal, some also have an extra added accessory attached at the back ! It's nutz ! I noticed them first in Kentucky, but after that I've kept my eyes open and they seem to be appearing on the rear of more and more trucks. I have one question - why?

t was, at the time new and exciting and starred Michael Douglas (whom my mother rather liked, I believe!) and a man with a massive conk, Karl Marlden. It was later that I discovered he was in films such as On The Waterfront and A Street Car Named Desire. In fact during his lifetime, he'd been in some 56 motion pictures and many TV serires and shows. And rather unusually, especially for a Hollywood couple, he'd been married to his wife, Mona, for 70 years! Karl he passed away in his sleep on Wednesday at the grand old age of 97. RIP Karl.

RIP Karl.Everyone knows I like flying, even with slow-coach airlines that I'll be going with on Monday, but I kinda wish I was flying with Air New Zealand. It would mean an even longer journey, but, Air New Zealand crew go that little bit further than most other airline's staff, as this bare essetials safety video shows!
3 People had their say.:
Not nearly enough close-ups of the body paint on those Kiwi boys in the video, I'd say... Jx

Ah...the Streets of San Francisco. God, you're making me show my age (though I was only a kid). LOL. If I hadn't popped by I wouldn't have known about Karl. Good on you for mentioning him. It was just one of those shows everyone watched.
Hmm...don't know what to say about the truck or the um...nuts except maybe 'nuts' to both.

I didn't know the name Karl Marlden but I do remember the face, well mostly the nose - they don't make them like that anymore.
