Susan Boyle Conquers it!
I was in America with Matt when Britain's Got Talent was on TV back home, I was unaware it was even on again, until I got an email from a friend advising me to look at a YouTube link of this strange lady from a tiny Scottish village. At the same time as this, Twitter was alive with the news of this singing sensation from over the other side of the water, as a little home sick, I followed the link and was literally blown away, Susan Boyle's performance dragged out tears from my eyes as she dared to confront Simon, Piers and that annoying Amanda on the TV Talent show and blow them away with a simply stunning performance of I Dreamed A Dream.
I was left weak at the knees, and that's no exaggeration, the hairs on the back of my neck stood to attention, even my goose bumps had goose bumps. It was one of those special moments in life, hearing
that most unlikely of voices coming out of that rather, and hey lets be fair here, not a highly attractive person.
that most unlikely of voices coming out of that rather, and hey lets be fair here, not a highly attractive person. After that, it was a pretty much a US sensation, it was on all the news channels, both local and national, it was on the news websites and was one if not the most tweeted topics on twitter. It was setting the blogspehere alight and the rest is pretty much history, it's well documented all over the place of what happened next.
Then on 16th this month, she was singing for the first time in America, where a ton of people have really taken her to heart, on the final of America's Got Talent. Indeed, I have to say, we've heard more news over here in England about her performance of a Rolling Stones number, than we have of the winner!
Gentllefolk and Ladybumps, I give you Susan Boyle on America's Got Talent - the final.
